Klawssmäte is published by Apppiggy LLC, a California limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what the app does, and does not do, with your information.
Everything you create or import, including your courses, class schedule, exams, deadlines, outlines, flashcards, quizzes, case briefs, to-dos, notes, study plan, alarms, and appearance settings, is saved only in the app's private storage on your device. None of it is sent anywhere. We (Apppiggy LLC) never see it and have no way to access it.
Because nothing is stored on a server, we cannot recover your data if you delete the app or your device. Use the in-app backup export to keep your own copy.
Klawssmäte lets you turn a syllabus into a course by using an AI chatbot that you choose and control (for example ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini). When you do this:
If you prefer not to use any AI, you can build every course by hand. No third party is involved at all.
Reminders, study-timer alerts, and alarms are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. Scheduling them requires your permission, which you can grant or revoke in the iOS Settings app. No notification data leaves your device.
Some case briefs include a link to the public legal-research site CourtListener (courtlistener.com). Klawssmäte makes no network connection of its own. If you tap such a link, your web browser opens the site and performs a search that includes the case name; anything that happens there is governed by that site's and your browser's own policies, not Klawssmäte's. Nothing else about you is included, and you can simply not tap these links.
The app can export a calendar file (.ics) or a backup file (.json) at your request. These are handed to the iOS share sheet for you to save or send wherever you choose. Where they go after that is up to you.
Klawssmäte is a general-audience study tool intended for law and university students. It is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone (it collects nothing from anyone).
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
